Someone told me to start my first article off easy. Not a change. I’m writing this to start a war on the number one enemy of men, laziness.
To fight this war i adopted the concept of the modern day warrior.
But why a warrior?
If you look in a dictionary it offers the following definintion.
A warrior is a man engaged or experienced in warfare. A person engaged in some struggle or conflict.
Synonyms are: soldier, fighter, and fighting man.
Think about it. A person engaged in some struggle or conflict. This pretty much covers all of us.
Look at the world around you, observe it. People are struggling. Now look closer and see most stopped working hard to get what they want. People are looking for easy solutions, wanting the world handed to them on a silver platter.
The warrior is a dying breed. More than just beeing a person engaged in struggle and conflict a warrior overcomes struggles and obstacles. A warrior struggles and sacrifices. He doesn’t let failure and rejection determine the outcome.
And most important a warrior always gives 100% never settles for less.
I am aware most people reading this have adopted a similar concept. Some haven’t. No problem.
I am not here to convert you to some weird cult.
Just found it was about time i started writing things down and get it organized.
My plan is to take the warrior concept and see how it can be used in both training and sport.
Next article will be about some of the distinctions i make. The distinction between training and sport and also the distinction between talent and skill.
Hey!
